A Tribute to all Teachers
( Organised by alumni batches 1996-99)
MILANA Alumni Association (MAA) of the PPEC, Indiranagar alumni members planned and organised a reunion for all the former teaching and non- teaching staff from the year the school officially began on February 11th.
It was an evening filled with sharing of memorable stories, laughter and happiness. This is the first reunion planned among all the sister PPEC branches and was presided over my our President His Holiness, Shree Shree Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji. Also joining Swamiji were the members of the USAMEC members, Dr. K. Srihari, Dr.Anand Halgeri, Sri S.K. Bhat and other PPEC Indiranagar management council members.
The function commenced with offering floral respects to our former President Swamiji HH Shree Shree Shree Vibudhesha Theertha Swamiji, followed by lighting the lamp of knowledge. With a beautiful invocation, the program continued with speeches by the President of MILANA, Mr. Chirantana (Batch 1996) who welcomed the gathering, memories of all the batch mates were displayed on the projector in the form of a beautifully articulated presentation.
Dr. K SriHari sir and the manager, Mr. Lakshman Murthy spoke in depth about the vision and goal envisioned by our Swamiji and late Dr.P.J.Bagilthaya. Many beautiful anecdotes were shared by them that showcased their objective towards building a strong and responsible community of students and teachers.
Later in the function, the teachers and non-teaching staff were all felicitated by Swamiji and the alumni members. Swamiji later addressed the gathering, appreciating the efforts put in by the alumni group members and the first principal Smt. Asha S.Urs and Sri S.R. Shekar also shared their fond memories of the old times with the students and guests.
