Poornaprajna College, Udupi, in association with Mangalore University, organized an All India Inter-University Kabaddi Tournament from November 23 to November 26, 2023. A total number of 16 teams from four zones participated in this event. 250 athletes, 40 coaches, 50 team managers, and referees took part in the four-day event. The inaugural ceremony of Kabaddi Tournament was held on November 23, 2023. The tournament was inaugurated by His Holiness Sri Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji President Admar Mutt Education council Udupi. The Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University Dr Jayaraj Amin presided over the function, MLA of Kapu Gurme Suresh Shetty, the secretary of Management Committee Dr G S Chandrasekhar, Dr Ramu L Principal, Poornaprajna college Udupi and other dignitaries graced the occasion. Mr Rakesh Kumar ,gold medalist in World Cup Kabaddi Championship was felicitated on this occasion. The Alumni of Poornaprajna college who have excelled in national and international sports events were honoured by the college Management Committee on the occasion of Prajna Gaurav which was held on November 26.The valedictory ceremony was held on November 26 with the blessings of His Holiness Sri Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji .Sri Kota Srinivas Poojari MLC Government of Karnataka, Dr Gerald Santosh D’Souza ,Dr A P Bhat , Dr Ramu L and other dignitaries were present. Mangalore University kabaddi team won the championship trophy.
