Independence Day this year was celebrated with pride, joy and programs with vibrant colours and messages on Indian struggle for freedom were showcased with great enthusiasm. As India celebrates its 78th Independence Day, the government of India has announced the theme “Viksit Bharat,” or Developed India, which symbolizes the vision of a developed nation by 2047.
In our school premises, the tradition of flag hoisting was done by our Chief Guest Squadron Leader (Retd) G. Sri Kala and other dignitaries of the day. G Sri Kala is a Founder and Principal Consultant of Meghana Consultants, Ex Air Force Officer, Human Resource Consultant and Trainer, Launch Director Consultant and Ex Vice President of BNI Yug.
The flag hoisting was accompanied with march past by high school students and the band. Powerful and inspiring speeches were given by the chief guest and our school secretary Sri S.K Bhat sir. Many cultural programmes, like speeches, patriotic dances, band displays, colourful drills, songs were performed by the students. They emphasized the role of the freedom fighters, instilling patriotic Favor, and feeling of oneness, solidarity, and fraternity.
The activities of the day aimed at making the children realize the importance of life & liberty followed by the sacrifices of numerous patriots.
