Suhas Rao – A PPC Alumni and an Epitome of Excellence

Mr. Suhas Rao is an alumnus of Poornaprajna College, Udupi. He completed his B.Sc. (PSM) during 2016-19, and his hard work, continuous effort, motivations, and guidance from his lectures helped him achieve great heights in the field of Mathematics

Achievements:

• Currently pursuing an integrated PhD program as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai.
• Cleared the NBHM PhD fellowship Examination along with the Interview.
• Selected for the Integrated PhD program in Mathematical Sciences for the year 2020 as a research scholar at TIFR – Centre for Applicable Mathematics.
• Participated as a mentor in MTTS 2021 online camps.
• Participated as a mentor in the Online Foundation Course in Mathematics (OFCM)-2020 organized by MTTS online.
• Cleared JAM 2020 in Mathematics with All India Rank 61.
• Cleared CSIR-NET 2019 with JRF ranking 37.
• Selected for the Summer Research Fellowship Program to work under Prof. KN Raghavan of The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai.
• Cleared Pondicherry University Entrance Examination 2019-20 for post-graduation in Mathematics with the First Rank.
• Cleared University of Hyderabad Entrance Examination 2019-20 for post-graduation in Mathematics with Rank 3.
• Attended level ‘1’ of MTTS (Mathematics Training and Talent Search) program funded by NBHM (National Board for Higher Mathematics) held at IISER, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
• Attended level ‘0’ of MTTS (Mathematics Training and Talent Search) program funded by NBHM (National Board for Higher Mathematics) held at SSN College of Engineering, Chennai, from May 21 to June 16, 2018.
• Attended a week-long “Mini-MTTS” program funded by NBHM held at Yadava College, Madurai, Tamilnadu, from November 27 to December 3, 2017.
• Topper in IAPT exam-2017 and 2018.
• Attended a 10-day short course on basic physics at IIT, Kanpur.
• Participated in various science fests held at various colleges and won more than 20 individual prizes.

Students like these are the ones that our founder H.H. Sri Vibudhesha Theerta Swamiji envisioned when he said, there must be at least one Nobel Laureate from Poornaprajna Institution.
